HSS rosette cutters

I've had a few of requests for information on my rosette cutters and shaping HSS. I cut the planer blades to length with an abrasive cutoff wheel in my die grinder. I get thin grinding wheels from the saw shop and reshape them with a diamond dresser. I use a thin Sharpie to mark out my pattern and grind to the line. For small details I use my Dremel with a small wheel and diamond hones to clean up grinding marks. The ceramic knife sharpener works great for inside curves and makes a nice cutting edge. That's pretty brief, but I think the pictures tell more.

It's sometimes easier to see if you use machinist layout blue on the face of the knife and scribe the pattern.
