Detroit Power Bandsaw Info?

Since I have been unable to find any information online, I was hoping to tap into the Creek's vast resource of woodworking knowledge. I have the opportunity to purchase a 14-inch bandsaw manufacturered by Detroit Power? I have not been able to get a specific model number. The only thing I was told is that it is similar to a Delta. Does anyone have any idea where I could find information on this saw or even the company? Although it appears to be in good condition, should I walk away from it or consider buying it?
