Where do the Exotic woods come from????

I turn pens and hopefully will start bowls soon but I would like to know where the exotic woods come from? When I buy some pen blanks like Bocote,Zebrawood,Lacewood,Purpleheart,Cocobolo,etc .... I really like the finished product but I have no idea where it comes from.Can someone share a list of woods and the Country it comes from and maybe something about the tree?Any info. would be helpful.
