I bought some hardwood table slides from woodcraft a while back with the plan of building a new dining room table...The time is here...I am making progress. My question is what type of fastener to use when attaching it to the under side of the table. I am planning on using pan head screws but I just dont know what gauge. If any has used this type of slide (http://www.woodcraft.com/Family/2001055/2001055.aspx) from woodcraft, I would appreciate your insight.

Thanks,

John G

Provide natural strength and smooth extending action for two-part tables. Hardwood slides feature dovetailed tracks and sag-proof shaping. Slides are 2-3/8" deep. Pre-bored for #10 or #12 screws.

I found this right from the site you linked.Length would depend on thickness of the slides and the table top I guess.HTH
