Well, I did it!!

Ordered the Jet 12" jointer/planer tonight, as well as a mobile base set up to go under it. I have been doing some research and some hands-on touchy feely and I didn't feel as if there was anything left to do but spend the cash. Thanks to those who offered any information that I have asked and a special thanks to Curt Harms for allowing me to come and visit his shop and getting an up close and personal with his Jet 12" and providing some after purchase tips and comments. I hope to have it here within the next two weeks.

Congrats Fred. I have a 12" combo that I really love. I'm sure you'll love it to. The capability of jointing 12" is awesome. I wasn't happy with the bases I've purchased in the past for these heavy pieces of equipment, so I decided to fabricate my own mobile base.
