I had some fun with this one.....

Mahogany & Rosewood. My son put together the lid - just a piece of MDF with a bunch of cigar bands craft glued to it... I then shellac'd about 4 coats over them.

I used System 3, Clear Coat for the top. The rest of the humidor is two coats of BLO & hand waxed with Butcher's wax.

Ed, this may be the best one yet!! While I really like the all wood, and the glass top is a nice basic unit, this one has some real character. Is this one sold? If not, I think you could get some orders for others like it. Not sure how you are going to smoke enough cigars to get all those bands, though!!!

These are some of my favorite threads. Awesome work. Rough pics, please! One day, many many from now, I'd like to attempt such a piece. Again, wonderful job!

Now that top really sets that humidor off.
Neat idea to use the bands Ed..

Looking forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve for the next one...

Not only a nice humidor but some quality cigars to boot. Those padron 26's are a nice smoke.

Indeed - every one of those cigars in that box are "bombs" - or gifts sent to me from my customers..... It'll be a long time before they disappear. Plus, I need to build a humidor for me now... just to keep them fresh!

Well.... the next one to come up will be the humidor that houses these.

I did a blog on one of these and it can be found on my home page here... I have other information elsewhere that I can probably dig up as well....
Thanks for the interest!!!

If Ed smokes enough for another one he'll look like Kramer on that episode of Seinfeld.:D

Nice work Ed.
