I have a couple open end cabinets and I didn't plan ahead enough. I didn't allow for rabbets in the panels. So I am thinking I will join them using wood pegs. I am just trying to figure how to position the pegs perfectly. Any suggestions?

YOu could tack them in place with some brad or pin nails. Once yo do that you can drill the peg holes and put the pegs in.

I don't want the pegs to be visible. I guess brads wouldn't be too bad though.

23 gauge pins and glue. Unlikely you will ever see the pin holes even if you know where to look. Never was much for fasteners on the "view" side but after getting a 23g pinner I have been amazed at what I can get away with, sometimes I have to remind myself not to get lazy. There was a time I had to slap my own hand reaching for either the pinner or a Kreg jig, now that the new has worn off I use them when I need to only.

Forgot about the pinner. It is amazing how well they hold. That will be the solution for me. The sides of the boxes are visible, but down low and behind some columns on a kitchen island. Thanks.
