I would really like to start producing some hollow forms but just don't have the tooling as of right now. I have been researching and am ready to make my own but still need the funds to proceed.

In the mean time here are some more bowls.

First we have a Black Cherry burl 6 1/2" Dia x 2 3/8 tall with a beaded rim.

Next we have a White Ash Bowl 10 1/4 Dia x 3 3/8" Tall. This bowl was turned for the Arborist who continues to hook me up with beautiful trees.

Last we have a Birch bowl 8 1/2" Dia x 3" tall.

Again these bowls were all turned green allowed too dry and returned. They are all finished with Mahoneys Walnut oil.

Thanks for looking SMC but I am being torn from the cumputer. So please forgive me for being brief.

Mentally always at the lathe your friend,
Mike

Wow Mike those are beauties. I really like the cherry burl and the last one. Well done.

All are very nice. Do you know the variety of birch? I have some yellow birch I could use but it is much lighter in color.

Thanks Mike. I transplanted one of those from a friends yard to mine 25 years ago. Real shaggy bark and very fastgrowing. There are 3 trunks to it, maybe one needs to come down.:D

Nice work on all your bowls Mike - but the curl in the Birch really stands out! Thanks for sharing!
