This will be donated to the local Arts Councle for their annual fundraising auction. It is cedar and maple.

Dave, your table looks very nice. Sounds like it will be used for a good cause as well. Can't beat that!

Not really much to it. Standard mortice and tenon construction on the legs and apron. Had to wait on the table top (figure 8) fasteners from Rockler because no one carrys them here. All ya get when ya ask for them is the slack jaw look.

The finish on the legs and aprons is Watco Natural and wope on poly. I didnt want the glossy look on the legs and aprons so I went over them good with 0000 steal wool.

The top is airomatic cedar. I was a little hesitatent using it because it is a soft wood, but I really liked the color and figure. I thought it would give a good contrast with the maple, and it did. It is finished with Watco Natural and 8 coats of wipeon poly. Reason so many is I was having a bubble problem (thanks to those that helped with that).

As for half the arts councle budget, I am just hoping they get something to help. This is the first piece I am trying to raise money with. I have never sold any of my work (dont really want to), but I am interested in how much it goes for.

Thanks for looking!
Dave
