I got away from turning do to life getting in the way latey and this is my first attempt in about a year. I came home one day and my neighbor the tree surgeon had dumped this burl in my driveway. It's thicker then most of the peices I have done. I guess I just wanted to do something a little different then I normally would. Sorry for the poor pictures.

Man I wish I had some burl. I have not turned any yet. That is some beautiful wood. I love NE bowls.

Kurt - glad to hear you are able to get back into turning! Good looking burl! Looks like a huge bowl! What are the dimensions?

Ahhhhhhh! Burl! Even though I have been in this round world for a short while, I am drawn to the highly figured pieces. Nice wood, and good job turning it.
