A while back I posted a thread about some Wormy American Chestnut that John Keeton had given to me..... Well, after a few months worth of looking at it.... Here's what came out of it....

Here's the before picture.... I epoxied up some of the knot holes where the knots had fallen out over the years....

And.... Here's a sneak peak for what's coming up next... She's oiled up and ready for me to line with Spanish Cedar... My client wants some engraving done on the inside of the lid.... so, I won't be able to finish her up for a few more days....

Bird's Eye Maple & Ebony....

You brought out the best in those chunks of wood Ed.
The knots in that chestnut really set everything off.

Love what you did with the Chestnut and I also like those little Pagoda boxes in the second pic. Nice.

Those both look beautiful; I'm sure your customers will both be very happy!

I'm currently trying to design a new humidor for myself. I was struggling with a lot of the details but I think I finally have it worked out. The one I have now I built out of some material I was given for free to keep costs down and although it works great, I would like one that looks a bit nicer. Plus it's full now so I could always use one a little bit bigger too!
