I love Austrailian Burls. Always hard, stable and beautiful wood. This one is 5-1/2" dia. x 7" to the top of the Ebony Finial. Walls are -1/8". Any comments/critiques always welcome.

Keith, that is beautiful. I love the burl, and the ebony really sets it off. Nice shape, as well. Where do you get your burls?

Beautiful work - as always Keith! Very pretty and colorful wood! Have always loved your hollow forms but have to admit your finials are amazing! Love the delicate nature, flowing curves and the slightly oriental flavor to the lid portion!

Stunning work! Thanks for sharing!

That is some beautiful. The wood is simply stunning and that delicate finial is in perfect proportion to the vessel. Well done.

Another beautiful piece of work! I love that finial. You should write a book, "How to turn the perfect finial".
