is there a guide to using what size blade with what size wood when scrolling?

in my limited experience, use a smaller blade (#1-3) when cutting thinner material or making tight curves. Use a larger blade (#7-12) when cutting thicker materials such as 3/4" hardwood. I think of the #5 as a baseline blade, used for most of my work. There are all kinds of variations - reverse tooth, skip tooth, etc. try this site (http://www.scrollsawer.com/forum/) for more detailed information and specific scrollsaw info.

Ditto. You won't find any better scroll saw blades or a nicer guy to deal with, IMHO. He's also very knowledgeable about the blades for different applications.

Learning of Mike and his blades from another thread here at SMC was more than worth the small cost of being a contributor to SMC.

Ditto on Mike for the blades,he will send you a sample to try,not many do that any more.
