Since it is after 9 PM on New Years Eve, I thought I should fulfill my only 2009 resolution, which was to learn to post a pic on the creek.

Since I can only seem to get a total of eight of the 1193 pics on my computer to work, here we go.

Da daaaaaaaaa.

Rick Potter

PS: for those who don't know what this is, it's a Ford.

PPS: Thanks for the help Sam and Kathy

Good job Rick. Who says you don't keep you New Years resolutions. What is in store for next year?

Good job, Sam

Is that a T-bird? A 56 or 57, right?

Waddya mean, "For those of you who don't know what this is..."?

How could anyone miss a T-Bird? A real stumper would have been an Edsel.

Hah!

I knew I could cull out some old guys on that. No one under 40 has any idea what it is.

It's a '55 Ford Thunderbird. Of course there is something unusual about it, other than the fact it is not done.

I was thinking there is something not quite right about it but other than the wheels, I can't figure it out. Any hints?

That engine doesn't look stock from what I remember back in the last century:confused: mebbe it's all the chrome, but it's still a good lookin' set of wheels. Got the hard top to go with it?

Who you calling old?!? I'm only 33! :D

So what is different about this T-bird?

It's got a Chebby motor. It was one step away from being parted out so I built a rat rod. Wish I had time to finish it, and yes, I have the hardtop.

The seat was redone in Tijuana, just like the old days of my mispent youth.

BTW Matt,
Back in High School (1965) I had a '55 Studebaker 3 speed overdrive that ran like a scalded dog:eek: Got it clocked at 130 once by the State Patrol:D:D Wouldn't even think about doin' that now with my minivan

When I was a kid playing Little League we used to pick on one of our friends because his brother used to drop him off and pick him up in this little pink car with those round windows on the side...who knew:D
