Frustratingly, HGTV has been scheduling DIY stuff in that time slot lately, but when you do see NYW on HGTV, the episodes are always at least three years old. Only PBS can show current material. You will have to check your local listings to find out the channel or channels that are affiliated with PBS and then there is no guarantee you will see NYW. Local programing decisions are just that...they carry what they want to based on what they perceive their general audience to appreciate...and contribute towards.

If you look at the top of the page (under the advertisement) I just typed in your area and searched for PBS stations. If go to each of the PBS sights that show up on your satellite, you can search for the NYW. It will give you times of shows.

Our local PBS (WQLN) in their infinite knowledge of what viewers want to watch has elected not to show current editions of "This Old house" or "Ask This Old House". They have also dropped "Router Workshop" and "Hometime". You can of course watch all the Lawrence Welk you can stand......

And they wonder why I won't support the local station!

This reminded me to check Norm's web site, and he is going to be working on the web cam tomorrow (15th) and Monday (the 18th) in case anyone is interested.

Norm is no longer on either of the Los Angeles area PBS stations (LA and San Bernadino). With the DYI change I am now Normless for the first time in a long time. The San Bernadino has put on a show called (as I remember) the Western Woodworker. The gentleman wears Hawaiian shirts and says that he does project for the average woodworker. They are kind of interesting, but not as good IMHO. Well, I am trying to convert to the Neander side, so I quess that the addiction should end, but I still kind of miss the show. Maybe Dave Anderson or someone can start a handtools only show and get on PBS.
