My wife thought it would be nice to give each of our kids and our pet sitter peppermills for Christmas.

From the left they are Myrtle (actually Bay Laurel if I remember correctly & it was from a wood swap), Black Walnut and Horminga Negra. The smallest is about 6 inches and hadn't had in hardware installed when I took the pictures. The recipients were thrilled.

I was really amazed at the figuring, colors and curl (I think that what it's called) in the myrtle one.

Those are really pretty. We have a peppermill kit, but haven't tried it yet.

Very nice work on all of them Bill - but have to admit all that curl really grabs your attention!

Looking forward to seeing what you turn next!

Nice work, Bill, but like Steve, that myrtle is stunning! You need to do another wood swap!

Nice mills. That curly one is really an attention grabber though.

Very nice mills Bill.
The first is my favorite out of the batch.
Great figure in that one.

Great looking mills... Like the some of the others on here, that 1st one just seems to reach out & grab you. Great work on them.

Thanks for the compliments. I really liked the first one too and really debated keeping it for ourselves. But when our son opened it, and went ohh & wow and was excited about it (never can tell with him) I knew I made the right decision. Besides I have enough of the wood left for another mill or 2.

They're all nice, but the curl in that first one is phenomenal. Thanks for posting.
