So I finally cracked today and bought an Easy Rougher CI LE. That is some serious bit of kit. I did a test run on some new headphone cups when I got home.... :eek: This thing is a monster! I didn't realize it was possible to chew out so much in such a short time. I'm in love. accurate, fast and very easy to gauge depth with because I need almost the accuracy of a router with the fun of a lathe :D
Costs a fair bit but I could happily trade all my other chisels for it. It's twice as long as any other chisel I have and while it may seem a little big for 4" turnings, the control and power is perfect. It's almost as long as my midi lathe. I'd love to get the easy finisher too but it's also a lot of cash that I don't have right now..
Any tips on how best to use it?
