Yup Santa was good to me. 3 Benjamins Best bowl gouges, 3/8,1/2, and 5/8, and a mandrel, barrel trimmer and 5 pen kits.:D

Now I just need to pick up a live center and I'm ready to play with pens.

No shopping today since I'm the chef outside cooking in an ice storm.:p Gonna get the turkey and ham on the smoker here in just another hour or two. Just nasty here, been 30* and raining for about 12 hours now. Good thing all my family lives within crawling distance.:p

Guess I'll have to sit and think about things for a while.:(


Oh and John, if you seen me you wouldn't be calling me little. :D Lets just say I have a "gravity" issue.

That's a good Christmas present What kind of mandrel is it? Ours takes the place of the live center, it has a #2 MT on it to slide right in the headstock. Maybe you can turn pens today.

All from PSI, mandrel is made to fit my Shopsmith. It needs the live center on the tail shaft end.

So no spinning pen blanks today, BUT if memory serves I do have a hunk of wood laying out in the shop I could mount to a faceplate and maybe play with the bowl gouges.:rolleyes: :D
