Here are some screwdrivers, pepper mills, cutting boards, and S&P shaker sets I made for gifts this year. My goal was to keep each piece under 1 hour of labor, and I did that :)
Woods are maple, cherry, and walnut I harvested from doomed trees.

Those are going to make some very nice gifts, and I can't believe you were able to get them turned in that amount of time!!!:eek: That is production speed - with some great results.

Thanks- I made a few story sticks and then did all the turnings in steps for minimal tool changes. I drilled out the blanks before turning and made jam chucks to fit the end holes so I wouldn't have to sand or part off the spur center marks.
I stamped pieces with numbers so I wouldn't mix up the lids between the pepper mills.

Yes and at $45 an hour they are expensive screw drivers. LOL
