Just bumping this up as I too am taking a hard look at this saw.

The ONLY thing that I wish were different about this saw was that it were a 3hp (only because I like POWER).
Over all, I am WAY happy with this saw. I cannot imagine anything that would come even close to it in it's price range.

Harold, does the motor stick out the back much like a normal contractor's saw or is it more tucked in? Their description about how they got a riving knife in there makes it seem like it might not protrude as much.

No, actually, the motor protrudes under the left wing. Nothing sticks out the back.
