The cross will be 11 foot tall and 7” thick when completed. It is for our Church. We are a small congregation of less than 100 active members, so cost was an issue when choosing a suitable wood for the project.
Redwood was the winner at 3.70bf
The arms in the pictures are 36 x30 inches x1.625 thick
#20 biscuits and TiteBond3 were used in the glue ups.
I will post as the project progresses

Good eye. Yes it is.
We were making frames for some Christmas gifts.

James, It looks like most of your router is a work bench:D

Is that a Union Carpenter sticker on your gantry???

Yes the back end is used as a work bench when not needed as a cutting surface. I do have a very sturdy Corian bench just out of the photo.
Yes that sticker is from my old local 181 in Chicago.we did some fine projects.

I will be posting pictures as the project moves along.

I guess thats the one plus of the rails on my shop bot since they do keep me from covering my table up with too much stuff when not cutting.
