I am looking for a simple AA Quartz clock movement, ideally exactly like pictured below. I have come across about a dozen websites selling them, klockit, clockparts, etc etc but I do not want a second hand. I know you can just not put them on, but I was afraid that click would still be heard on them.

Also the ends that show on some of them aren't as nice as the one pictured. Just the small simple end cap on the end. If anyone knows of some good sources or if by chance one that resembles the one pictured I would greatly appreciate the help

Thanks

If you have a Woodcraft in the area, they sell clock movements and all kinds of dials. Have you tried Klockit, the seem to have about the best selection of clocks and parts that I know of.

That looks like the clock David Marks made on Woodworks. You might try the diy website and see if he lists the supplier for the clock parts he used.

Local to most people is AC Moore which is a large craft chain. Another is Michael's which is another chain. I bought a clock mechanism for a cigar box clock I made at the former. Might be worth checking out so you can lay hands on what you are looking for. Another note is that AC Moore puts ads in the Pennysaver (a local free ad rag) with a coupon for 40% any single item. Usually the cashier will have a coupon they will let you use if you ask.
