The snipe website finally paid off, won the following block plane. As recomended by most creekers the best option for a sub $50 block plane was to go for an old Stanley 60-1/2, 65 or 18. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

I've previously revived a #5 Jack plane with good success, still no digital camera so only before pictures.This is the before pictures of the #5

It looks like a very nice user plane to me. With a little polishing here and there it should work great. :)

You did fine, Zahid. That 60 1/2 will tune up and polish up nicely. Time to make some nice crisp end grain shavings!
