Okay, I realize I am not an electrician, but this does not need to be rocket science. I received a new 1.5 HP Leeson motor today for my table saw. Was told the wiring instructions would be in the box. Guess what, they weren't. There are six leads in the motor labeled T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 and T8. I go to their website and all I can find on this motor is this:
http://www.leeson.com/CnxDocRequest/PublishedPDF/dwg-006151130_00500501_145866_365.pdf

So, if I want CCW rotation for my right tilt saw it seems to say
Connect T1, T3 and T8 to L1
Connect T2, T4 and T5 to L2

So in the AC cord, is L1 black and L2 white?

Yes Dean you should be good with that.

Thanks Charlie. I also might mention the motor has a big dent in it. They are sending a replacement, but I thought I would get all my ducks in a row.

The wiring diagram may be on the inside of the cover,if its not of the motor tag----Carroll

On the drawing right hand side a little more then half way down is box that say: high volt/low volt. If you are hooking up to 120 volt use the low 220 use the high. Then read across do you want cw or ccw? Next is L1-line 1 the hot for 120, or one of the hot legs for 220. Hook the t#s in that box to L1, the next is L2-line 2, it will be the neutral for 120 volt, or the other hot leg for 220, hook the T# to that leg. For high voltage you will make one more connection, the join box, hook the T# to each other and only to each other. Be sure to ground the motor there should be a screw that is taped into the steel frame of the motor, may be painted green.
Hope this helps, if you need more info let me know what voltage, and rotation you will need.
