The tiki bar is finished

After a summer of planning/designing, working, re-designing, working, adapting, more work, we finally finished the transformation of our patio to a tropical theme and built the tiki bar. (This was to be a reminder of our wonderful trip to Hawaii...our own little "piece of paradise."

We had a first party for family and friends this past weekend. We really enjoyed the building and partying here. Hope you enjoy the pics and maybe find something interesting if you get inspired to build your own "piece of paradise".

Thanks for the compliments. We put a lot of work into the whole "scene" and are kind of proud of the finished product. We would look forward to using it a lot.

Very cool! We were just at the Tiki Tiki Lounge on Highway 6 in Houston this week. I love that look. It's fun. :D
