Our club had Molly Winton in town for an all day demo about a month ago and she got me inspired to try my hand at burning.
I'd seen instructions on how to adapt a 12v battery charger into a high power woodburner and finally got around to acquiring all of the necessary parts and found a couple spare hours to get everything put together.
I still need some heavier gauge nichrome wire to make the actual burning tips (the wire pictured was salvaged from a blow drier) but it's up and working.
