Jointer was delivered undamaged.
Jointer is finally set up and running. I actually like the simplicity of design, it should be easy to keep in alignment over time. I had to disassemble to get into my basement and put back together.
Disappointed in mounting base design for the motor. For @ $5 Grizzly cost they could have used an adjustable motor base and this would have been a great selling feature. To mount v-belts you have to loosen motor bolts and then manhandle a 2hp motor while lying on your back to get belts aligned and tensioned right. I got it done, but an adjustable base would make this a breeze and when you change belts it would be much easier.
After cleaning off the packing grease there was some rust on the outfeed table that discolored the tooled surface. The plastic was in contact with the table and I assume there was some condensation through contact.
On sample runs it was quiet and smooth and the dust collect took what it could dish out.
