Well, it's not a four door Tundra, but we were never able to get past the $27,600 barrier with the dealer. Good deal or not (I don't think it was) , IMHO that is WAY TOO MUCH for any vehicle. So I lowered my sights and began looking used. Picked this one up this morning, 2000 F150 Lariat extended cab, 52000 miles, full leather interior with bells and whistles galore for 1/2 the price of the new Tundra. Goes back Monday for new tires (dealer pays for) and chrome nerf bars (I pay for at dealers cost).

LOML is Happy, I'm happy, and my bank account is still stable. What a deal!!

Very nice Tony. You should get lots of miles on that new ride, 52000 is just breaking it in. :D

As I always say----FORD FOREVER!!!:D

I think If I got a dealers tag, I could start a Ford dealership with all mine.

Very nice, Tony. That was actually my second choice when I bought my 2000 Tundra Access Cab Limited. It was the only other truck I sat in that was comfortable for me and had an interior that came close to the 300M I was trading in. Yours is going to look really nice with those chrome bars, too. Enjoy!

Tony......while I've had good luck with Toyotas in the past......I currently have owned a 1990 F-350 4x4 460, 5-speed for about 8 years. I bought it used. I've more than got my money's worth. I hope you do too! Congrats on that new ride!

Tony -

Good choice. Since you couldn't get them down any more on the Toyota, I think you made a good decision. After you get it all tricked out, keep it away from the hurricanes! :)

Regards,
Ted

Yep, like Jack said..............welcome to the Blue Oval Club! I just purchased an '04 F-150 Super Cab. This is my umpteenth Ford Truck, and I couldn't be happier. Great ride and handling, and the 5.4 L V-8 has a TON of low end torque.............perfect for towing my trailer with a load of wood. Great choice Tony, and a VERY nice looking truck. That should serve you well for a long time to come. :D

I just bought a 2001 F-150. Just yesterday, I installed a set of Westin step bars. I bought the black ones for $200 and they don't look bad. I really wanted chrome - but not for $350. So, once I figured out how to get one of the sides on (which was extremely frustrating and confusing), the other side went on with no problems. So, you might want to consider doing it yourself, unless the price you are getting is real good.
