I am going to try cutting box joints with my Foot Mortiser, has anyone ever tried cutting box joints with its tailed cousin?

An 1800's foot powered mortising machine by WF&G Barnes Co.. A levered not tailed, WWing Machine.

I also built a bench top Hand Powered Scissors Mortiser from a glimpse of one I saw on an episode of the Woodwrights shop filmed at Upper Canada Workshops for my Neander/Galoot demo shop.
