Good Day to the Turners of the Creek!
Great day in my shop.
Stereo cranked up and wood chips flying...

This is the biggest diameter I've done to date.

12" X 2 1/4"
I thought it was big until I put it on the mustard monster....

135701 135697

You got to love all the toys you get with this turning thing...

The boss loves this one.

Hope everyone had a little shop time today....

Wow! Very pretty bowl Gary! Love the wood! Great form and finish! This is one of those pieces that when you hold it up to look at it when you first finish it - you know you just created a winner! Very nice - seriously - very nice work!

Thanks for all the comments guys!

Keith
The finish is mineral oil, followed by ultra shine, and then a high gloss friction wax.

That's beautiful. The wood is fantastic, and I'd love to know where you got it. If you don't mind sharing sources, I'm all ears.

David.
All of my turning blanks have come from a company called Black Forest Wood Company.
They are located in Calgary AB.

Great guys there, and they have some real nice chunks of wood
It is also where I got my 3520B.

John Keetons 3520B is also there.
They are just waiting for his address so they can ship it to him.:D:D:D

Gary,

We have a number of places Stateside that can ship one to John and save him the import fees. They too are waiting for an address and CC #.:D

They too are waiting for an address and CC #.:DThat would be the part where a little help would be appreciated!! Gary, why don't you go ahead and put that on your card, and I will pay you back one walnut board at a time!!!:D:D:D;) At the prices you Canadians pay for walnut, I may be able to get that thing paid for in a few short months!
