Any information about this plane would be greatly appreciated as I know nothing about it. It is very heavy and appears in unused condition. Sole measures 10 1/2 x 2 1/2. It is stamped "O'CONNOR 012". It comes fitted in a walnut box with a brass plaque that reads "Dragon Song 012".

That looks like an artisan made plane. Can not tell if it is laminated or not.

Maybe with the brass sole and wood sides it is an outfill plane?

Where did you find it? Does the source of the plane have any information?

1989, Garrett Wade. Boy another 5 or 10 years and they would have done very well I think, some good ideas. :)

Now I have to ask. How in the world did you know that?

I'm impressed.:)

Andres, I too am impressed and thank you for the information. The plane is not mine but belongs to a friend. He was thinking it was worth quite a bit and had thought about selling it; but now????? If it is for sale I will post it here.

Great link! Look just below the Dragonsong planes! (But don't look too long at the prices.) (Hey, it was 1989...)

And scroll down the articles (it's a time capsule!). Check out the photos of Mike Dunbar and Norm.

That was fun!
