Is anybody familiar with this particular lathe (Craftsman model #113.12791)?

I can't seem to find any info on it online and I have a chance to pick one up for $150.

Is it worth that (depending, of course, on the condition)?

Thanks...

Oh, oh...

I'm thinking that this must not be a terribly popular model...

I come up with a motor using that model number. Is there another number on it?

I've never turned on a Craftsman, but just looking at them... Let's just say that there's a lot to be desired.

There is this number:

C55DR-1760

It is supposed to be a 1/2 hp 12".

You'll probably get more answers if you post this on the Turners forum. If you haven't already!

I don't know anything about that lathe. As a general rule, Craftsman and high quality lathe usually don't go in the same sentence. Although I did start on, and heavily use my Craftsman lathe.... I turned on it until the motor gave out. A pic would help...... 150 bucks for a used Craftsman lathe seems high, since the majority of the lathes I've seen them sell are "starter" type lathes. If it came with a bunch of tools, it may be worth picking up.

Just my $.02.

Is is the standard one with the round tube?
They go for about $75 around here.
They work, sorta.

Looks like that is the model number of the motor being used on the lathe.
