I bought my first Atkins saw Sunday at an auction. I also picked up a couple of Disstons plus two warranted superior all for ten dollars.
The one in the middle was in the process of having a picture painted on it. It has 9 tpi and it seems to have an unusual medallion. It has the trademark Disston keystone in the center but it reads warranted superior. This is something I haven't seen before. The Atkins has 6 tpi. The other Disston is a D-8

Heck, just the hardware is probably worth $10.

If nothing else, good saws to practice sharpening.

I am glad to see a saw (any saw) rescued from a wildlife or farm scene painting. Well done.

It really gets me when a perfectly good saw is painted with some schlocky design. I don't mind if the saw was pitted and all, but they take the best ones to paint.
