This year's Christmas ornaments, so far. First is osage orange body from the golf course where my son is the superintendent, with marblewood finials, second is maple body with ebonized maple finials for my daughter, and the third is walnut with maple finials for the boss. Finish is rattle can laquer. LOML's is already on the tree, I'll try to remember to get a picture of it.

I really like this technique. Definitely something to keep in mind for next year. Did you use a dremel to make the cutouts?

I used a flex shaft rotary tool with a dremmel after drilling randomly spaced holes at the drill press.
