She wanted to try pens, so she got some pen turning supplies for an early Christmas present. Her first two came out pretty good I think. They are both Tulipwood (which happens to be her favorite flower).
We really need a new camera, These pics don't do justice.

Good job on the pens! So, do you have his and hers lathes? If not, sounds like a good "bonus" Christmas present!

Those are some good looking pens for a first. Really well done. Yep his and her lathes. Sounds like a plan.

Great looking first pens..

Camara I bet is fine, need better lighting, looks like you used the built in flash.

Best bet is to make a light box for it..

We don't have his and hers yet. Might have to look into it soon though.

Please let Sheila know that she did a really good job on her pens! I really like the bottom pen because of the contrast between wood and metal. Nice work!

Be sure to let us know what your new lathe is going to be!

Sheila said thanks everyone. She will be hooked soon. Bottle stoppers will be next.

It's funny that a few weeks ago she laughed when I finished a piece and asked her to get the camera so I can show the guys. As soon as she finished the first pen she said we are going to have to take pics and put them online.:D

I hope my first ones turn out that nice.

I gotta sneaking hunch that Santa is bringing me some turning tools ;)
