I just got a Record 56D vise off of Ebay. The lever on the thing was about 90 degrees out of the correct position. After about 2 hours of messing with it, I found the spring, lever and the long flat rod were installed wrong......I hope. The spring and rod holder have me a little nervious. The teeth in the rod holder are not even and I fear it may have slipped out of postion. Can parts be bought for the Record vises? I've included a picture of it....note the quick release lever.
