Red Gum Burl HF

Red Gum Burl HF with Ebony lid and finial (and Red Gum). Measures 4-1/2" dia. x 8" tall. Wall approx. 1/8". Not as many voids as I'd hoped for. Finish is antique oil and buffed. Comments/critiques welcome.

Kind of reminds me of a very elegant apple, the finial being the aristocratic pose of old money. Strong well groomed posture, anyway it is very nice and the shape is great! It is early in the morning and the shop is heating up, after the 11" of snow yesterday and now at 3 degrees out, it takes a little bit.
