Here's a couple of Plain Looking small Birch vessels I just finished. I roughed the out last December & just now got them finished.
One is 7 1/4" tall the other 8 1/2" tall both about 3 3/4" Dia. I wanted to air brush paint them but the little lady of the house wanted them natural. I still think I could have air brushed them & made the look better.;)

I have to agree with your "boss". They look just fine the way they are.

joe, great vases - however you pronounce the word :p. i prefer my wood uncolored, showing the natural beauty you've uncovered in your turning. very nice!

Nice work on the vases Joe! I also agree that they look great as-is.

+1 what they all said Joe. Very nice shapes and I think the wood is pretty enough just as it is.

Very nice, classical forms. I really like the soft curve at the opening. Add me to the list of people who prefer them natural. If you turn another, you could airbrush it and then post it with one of these for comparison. That might be really interesting.
