I'm still around, not posting much lately, busy with work and family and turning.

Our club holiday party is 12 days away and we always have an ornament exchange. I saw an article by (I think) Bob Rosand on quick Multi Axis trees and decided to put a little twist to it. I wanted to hollow it to reduce the weight. It took a couple of tries to get it right and not to break it in half but I finally succeeded tonight.

Box Elder, Approx 1 1/4 wide X 3" tall. Hollowed, turned on 3 axes, and a separate bottom piece. The "trunk" on the base piece was drilled out to further reduce the overall weight.

Please excuse the poor cell phone photos.

Thanks for looking

Jason,

I like the modification you've made to the design of the ornament. That's a very cool idea!
