I found this in a pile of old tools that had been cleared out of a garage. I do not see any name or markings, including the blade. The base and the cutting edge are both slightly convex. The handle can be pivoted so it pushes or pulls.

Is this a puzzle for you too?

I look like a stanley floor scraper... But we'll see what the experts here think!

Don't count my input as one of those "experts", but it looks very similar to a Stanley # 48 Box Scraper.

Its a box scraper. Got one just like it, only without the rust.

Thanks. What is a box scraper used for? Does it get pushed or pulled?

Scraping the address information off wooden boxes, so they can be re-used for shipping. Pulled, I think.
