Once upon a time I worked for a company where the CAD group had this neat drawing hanger thing. It was a C shaped tube with rollers in it. To hang up the drawing you would just slide the drawing into a slot behind the rollers. To remove the drawing you pulled forward and down and the drawing pop-out. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Do you have any idea where i could get one? More specifically, do you have any idea where I could see one so that I could build one myself. he he he.

Things like that are often called "flat file", or "blueprint rack" or the like. Google is your friend.

Nope. neither of those. I know what a flat file is (chest of drawers) and the blueprint rack holds bundles of drawings on a "clothes hanger". This thing holds one drawing and hangs on the wall.

There's one that works just the reverse of your description. A holder stuck to the wall has a slot along the bottom edge and the sides. Inside is a marble which is loosely captured in a V-shaped space that is wider at the top than at the bottom. Shove a piece of paper up past the marble, and it pushes the marble up a tad in the V-shaped space. But pull the paper down, and it tightens the marble in the space, clamping the paper from falling down. To release the paper, push up a tad to release the marble, and then pull the paper sideways out of the holder.

Different but same. What's it called? Where did you find it?

Use a window shade and hang it from the ceiling.

I know I use that idea. But it doesn't work well outside the basement, if you know what I mean.
