Width of LN 7 and 8? (Including Body)

Hi all, I'm working on a plane till and I want to leave a spot for a LN 7 or 8. (Eventually I might upgrade my Stanley 8.) Could someone take a measurement of the width of the entire plane and post? I could ball park from the width of the blade plus some, but I'd rather be a little more accurite.

LN#8 is 3 1/8" wide (by 24 3/16" long). If you haven't decided between the two go for the 8. For the $s you get a whole lot more plane.
