After visiting a local fellow woodworker I met on another (Canadian) forum, I decided to try a few of the trucks he makes.
This is my first attempt at any wooden toys, and I'm quite please with how they turned out.

I built 5 of the big ones (already gave one away, so only 4 in the pics) and a few of the smaller push cars too.
My son, my nephews, and some friends boys will receive these for Christmas. Thanks for looking.

They are personalized with each boy's name. 1/2" letters in walnut purchased from Lee Valley. The wheels and axels also purchased.
Woods used are mahogany, hard maple, soft maple, and walnut.
I just sprayed these with a few coats of shellac from a can.

Ryan, you have a regular assembly line production going on there! I like the hotrods and the trucks look great, and I really like the combination of woods. Neat idea with the letters for the names - really shows well and makes them special.
