Identifying wood.

I have some wooden items that I wish I could identify the type of wood in them. I am familiar with some of the more popular woods. I like the straight clear, unassuming grain of this wood. Any ideas?

Maybe beech with a stain?

Beech was my first thought, too, because of those darker flecks.

You are good. I tried doing my search in a different way yeilding the result. It is linseed oiled beech.
