I found a 46-450 rockwell lathe that a guy inherited and just wants to get rid of for 200 bucks has some surface rust has a rest and a duplicator with it. I need to know what to look for in a used lathe besides the bearings and motor thanks

If I was in the market for lathe I would buy it.

At the 200 dollar price point I wouldn't worry about bearings. those old delta's used standard bearings and you can get them for next to nothing. make sure the spindle is in good shape. [those may not be so easy to get] the duplicator [depending on what brand] is worth the 2 bills.

If I needed a lathe I would jump on that one. You can overhaul it if needed and still be money ahead.

I had that lathe for 15 years of loyal service. I turned many a bowl on it. Sold it last June for $500. Only thing ever replaced was the head bearings after turning some 20" + bowls on the outboard side. Great machine, and at $200 it is a steal.

I would jump all over that deal. Had one for a long time before I sold it and upgraded. It did a lot of turning for me with no issues.
