The attached picture shows a drawing of an exposed end of a run of cabinets. I'd like to put an end panel on this end.

What should it look like at the toe kick?
Should the end panel begin at the top of the toe kick and I would just use baseboard on the bottom part?
Should I not notch the plywood and just make the end panel go all the way to the floor?
Should I build a "toe kick" on the end to match what the front of the cabinets look like?

Hi Robert, this is how I handle finished base ends. Not the best picture. Its basically a notch with a radius, the toe kick board butts into the side of the finished end. Hope this helps.

Excellent. So you basically beef up the bottom rail and run the whole thing to the floor. That is exactly what I drew up (minus the radius) after I posted the question, so we'll call it the right answer :).

Edit: attached picture for the record.

Or you could simply run another 5/4 board beneath the bottom rail of the panel, the same height as the toe kick. Put the same edge detail on it as your cabinet doors.
