I've stumbled across a Model LT18450 Laguna bandsaw. Looks close to new, used very little, 3 extra blades, and mobile base to move saw around on. Is $1000.00 a good price for this or just fair? It's a 1996 model, 3HP, made in Italy. Not sure if there's been any substantial changes on this saw through the years.....anyone know?

Thanks,
Mac

Made in Italy, in almost new condition, I'd say that is a good price.

it is an excellent price assuming it is in great condition... I would say buy it if it has not already been sold. I paid more than that for my used LT16HD.

Being the current owner of a LT18, I would say that if it is in good condition, then that is a good price. Try to negotiate down anyway. The sellers' listed price is usually a starting point.

My biggest concerns are parts availability and if the design of the saw is adequate for today. I could not find a parts dept. on Laguna's web-site. Is there a generic parts supplier for the italian line of saws? Did this saw have C.I. Trunnions? Is fit & finish adequate, This is a 13-14 year old saw.
