I am sure there are a lot of you out there that like to decorate your shops for the holidays – kind of like on HGTV!:eek::rolleyes: I figure if it brings one smile to someone’s face – it was worth the effort!

So, in keeping with the spirit of this newly arrived Holiday Season…….

my shop….

Have a wonderful – and Safe – Holiday Season!

HaHaHaHa!!:D:D:D:D

I gotta say that's the first decorated lathe I've seen.

How in the world do you turn and keep that lathe and shop so clean though? I would never dare post a pic of my mess, lights or not.

Merry Christmas back at you too!

Steve....it's all I can do to keep the LOML from actually decorating my shop.

Steve,

Cool display, but must get really interesting when you are turning.

My folks had the same striped carpet in their basement in Toledo.

Have a great season your own self!

Steve, I still can't get over how clean you keep your work area! I would have to spend 2 months cleaning before I could decorate, by then the holidays would be over! Thanks for the holiday cheer!

Now that is what I would call "shedding a little light on the subject!" Steve, the only thing that could possibly make that better is a "strob effect" while you turn!!:D Or, maybe "running" lights??!

Neat picture, but I am with the others - do you really turn there? How in the world do you get the dust and shavings out of that carpet?

Steve,
It made me smile and I'm sure that any turner that ever looks at it will to. Would be interesting to turn with the wires though.
Thanks for sharing,
Jack

I'm thinking when you fire that puppy up you'd be running from the lights:eek:

Did you have friends over for the celebration of the Lathe Lighting? And, is that carpet on your shops floor?

Good job

Why did the music of the BeeGees start playing in my head as soon as I looked at that photo??

That's great, Steve! Kinda hard to not get caught up in the wires while turning though.

Pretty cool idea, but I now feel that you are buying those beautiful bowls and hollow forms elsewhere and passing them off as your own. I couldn't even walk through your shop without getting it dirtier than it is. No way any wood turning has been done in that space.;)

My shop looks like an episode of hoarders waiting to happen, and I just cleaned it after my last turning.

Merry Christmas
