I have a Ryobi Log Splitter Model#49701 that was loaned out and got left in the rain. Now all it does is blow the breaker when I try to start it. I know I know, electricity and water don't mix. I thought only the electric box on the side was messed up since there was water in it when we were trying to see what happened, maybe I could get away with changing a few parts in there.
It has been sitting up for a while. I took it out to start messing with it, and while turning and twisting I could hear water moving inside it. I tipped it on its side with the electric box down and water started coming out of the hole where the wires go into the motor. Now I'm not so sure I can get a real cheap fix out of it. Does anyone know where I should start replacing things and where I can get the parts I will need. Thanks for any suggestions.
