Here are a couple of bowls I turned this weekend. They are from the same log and are about 6 inches in diameter and 3 inches high. The one on the right had a crack that I filled with a mixture of coffee and thick super glue. Comments please.

Nice Walnut bowls Greg! Looks like the coffee ground/ca mixture worked pretty good for you!

Looks very nice Greg. What finish did you use and what was the final thickness??

Bill - The bowl on the right has a final thickness of about 1/4 inch. The top started to crack so I didn't want to go too far. The other one is about 3/16. Both bowls were buffed with a final coating of bees wax.

Good looking bowls Greg. Looks like the CA and coffee works. On big gaps I will mix epoxy with either sanding dust or coffee.
